Expert advice

Physiotherapists and doctors suggest changing pillows every two years as they have an expiration date.

Since the pillow is an ideal hiding place for mites and microorganisms, which feed on the secretions eliminated during sleep, sometimes washing is not the solution, but rather disposal. Check in advance whether it is really worth washing it.

If your pillow is still being washed, take advantage of the advice from How to wash a pillow and keep your sleeping companion spotless for a while.
